Rarity had only made it a few steps from the table when her little sister bolted from behind a table and dashed up to her.

"Sweetie? Is everything-" Rarity began.

"No everything is fine, but can we go home now?" Sweetie interrupter in a rush.

Rarity looked down at her sister, then over to her friend's table. 'I spouse there's no point in making a seen hear, but something is wrong. I shall have to confront Sweetie about it in the morning before she runs off, but for now it really is getting a bit late for her to be up and about...'

Rarity put on her best reassuring smile and patted her sister on the head. "Alright then, lets get you to bed Sweetie."

Rarity and Sweetie Belle walk out the front doors.

Meanwhile in the Everfree

a hooded figure walks a path between two patches of bright blue flowers, the figure is staying as close as possible to patch on its right but it glances left and see a small circle of the flowers are without petals. lowering it's hood a young zebra with gold bangels around her neck looks closer at the flowers, with a quick sniff her eyes widen "oh woe is you, who picked this for your brew. this plant is truly scary, of it 'humor' one should be wary" as she walked away she whispered something with a shudder "Torture Tulip"

{just so we're on the same page take a look at my concept for Torture Tulips}

( Torture Tulip - a more dangerous strain of Poison Joke that latches on to it's victims untill it hears something IT finds funny and afflicts the victim with a prank much like Poison Joke but IT's idea of funny is what most would consider extremely cruel )

Some where slightly less far away a young filly tosses and turns in her bed, struggling with secret she can hardly bare to keep, but is too afraid to share, wish that she could just tell the truth and be open about it.

Not to far from her another, older pony sits and stares into a cracking fire, thinking long and hard about the loneliness of her friend and only wanting to have something, anything, to give too her so she would have somepony who would love her unconditionally for who she was.

Nether sister noticed the slight haze of magic as tiny blue spoors glowed to life and begin to work there mischief...

the next morning

Zack walked up to the sleeping form of his brother and lightly taps him on the shoulder "time to wake up Zach, we've got to get you to the train station or we're both gonna have one 'pissed' off princess on our hooves tonight."

Zach groans loudly wincing at his own noise "what the hay happened last night?"

"I think somepony spiked you last night"

"I knew I shouldn't have taken the drink that mulberry pony gave me." Zach groaned

Zack had to think for a second "oh, you mean Berry Punch she's a wine connoisseur but she doesn't drink as much as she used to since Ruby Pinch came into the picture." Zack looked back to see his brother had an eyebrow raised "what?"

"Why do you know that?"

"It was my job to know about all those around Twilight and her friends at one point remember." Zack said regarding his brothers rolling eyes

Sweetie Belle hobbled down the stairs to her sister kitchen. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes as she internally kicked herself for last night. Now, not only did Scootaloo her secret, but she also probably thought that she had been acting really dumb the whole time and then she had probably told Apple Bloom and now both of them would not want to spend time with her because they would think she was a big baby!

Sweetie Belle hoped onto a chair and processed to drop her head onto the table with a defeated sigh.

"And how did you sleep last night Sweetie?" Rarity asked, placing a plate of toast in front of her sister.

"I think I have a crush on Spike." Sweetie Belle mumbled into the table.

It took a second for her own words to catch up with her brain, but when they did the fillies eyes shoot open.

"What was that?" Rarity asked, curiously.

"I said that I am in love with-" Sweetie Belle caught herself at the last movement. "Crushing... railroad spikes." She manged to finish, the act seeming to take a physical effort.

"I see..." Rarity commented, looking a little taken aback.

"Yep! I think it might be my special talent! In fact I should go see the girls and tell them so we can go and do that! I will just be leaving now, bey!" Sweetie Belle hopped off her chair and made a b line for the door.

"Hold up a moment!" Her sisters voice brought her to a sliding stop.

Sweetie was sweating nervously as she waited for her sister to call her on her lie.

"If you are going to go see Apple Bloom then I should go with you, it will give me and Apple Jack a chance to visit!"

Sweetie Belle was about to point out that Rarity never visited Sweet Apple arcs so eerily in the morning, especially not on a work day and especially, especially not when she had not had a chance to eat breakfast yet. However these points died in her mouth as she saw that her sister face was an alarming shade of red a she donned a pair of sunglasses.

"Come along Sweetie! I am sure we don't want to keep the Apples waiting!"

"you sure you don't need me to come with?" Zack asked Zach whose eyes were still bloodshot

"oh for the love of Faust, Zack will you stop!" Zach hissed as Zack's eyes flashed blue and stopped dead in his tracks with a confused expression after a few steps Zach noticed "what are you doing? I thought you were escorting me to the train" Zack nodded "well, get a move on! I want to back before tonight" Zack's eyes flashed blue again and he started moving at a brisk pace

Rarity caught sight of his pace "wonder where he's off to in such a hurry?"

"That's odd." Rarity mused as Zack dashed off towered the train station. "I thought he was staying in town for a while longer, but the way he is running... I guess something must have come up."

Sweetie Belle nodded, not trusting herself to speak. She still had no idea why her stupid mouth kept trying say thing she did not want it too, but it was not giving up. The few time she had tired asking her sister why she was so interested in seeing Apple Bloom's sister, instead of running off to Fluttershy's cottage to see them off still had her baffled, she had barely manged to avoid admitting to thinking Spikes bow tie made him look dapper.

As they drew closer to the farm a terrible thought stuck the filly. What was she going to say to Apple Bloom!? She could not just try and stay quite with her friend like that, especially not when Rarity has just walked her over here JUST so she could see her!

"you did act a little strange a moment ago, why?" Zach replied with a raised brow

"it's weird, nothing like this has happened to since that incident with Poison Joke, except that made me act like a coward."

"well I don't know Zack, after I leave go ask Twilight!" Zach said as he boarded the train after putting the last bag in the compartment. After the train pulled away Zack's glowed blue and he began to walk towards the library in a trance

"Hello Fluttershy! Rarity called over to the couple, before eyes eyes seemed to lock onto Apple Jack. "Oh hello there Apple Jack! Lovely day isn't it?" Rarity's smile bordered. "Why its just the perfect day to go out and spend time with friend, isn't it?" Rarity's face began to redden. "Why, since Big Mac and Fluttershy are leaving and Sweetie Belle was planing on spending the day with Apple Bloom, why don't you and I go and do something? I fear we don't get to spend much time together these days." Rarity's face was rapidly turning approaching the shade of Big Macs coat.

"I think I saw him over near the train station." Sweetie Belle offered, seeing that her sister was not going to answer Apple Jack's question anytime soon. Then, before she could stop herself she added, "He is friends with Twilight, maybe me, Apple Bloom and Scootaloo should go down there with you so we can ask her where he might be and then she and Spike and help us find him for you!" Sweetie brain caught up with her mouth a second latter as her eyes widened in horror. The last thing she needed right now was to be in close proximity to Spike.
